What are your beliefs about your body? Are you remembering to love yourself first? It IS true that you can love yourself to excellent health and change your destiny.
Do you believe that your body must look good, regardless of what it takes to make it that way? Does your health even matter in getting to “the look” the world says you should have?
Do you believe your health matters above all else and the good-looking body is the result of you taking care of yourself? I’m hoping this second option resonates more with you.
Physical wellness is also a body, mind, spirit conversation. The result? Creating a beautifully fit body.
Do you realize your beliefs become your destiny?
“Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.”
Ultimately, Gandhi is teaching us that your thoughts become your actions, which then create your destiny. In this case, we are talking about the body, which, by the way, is a reflection of who you are.
If you take the quote above and apply it to any area of your life, you will find it’s all a reflection of who you are and how you “be.” What do I mean by “be”? Simple, your ‘way of being’. Your way of approaching every single task, relationship, or experience. Are your daily habits reflecting the person you are? Do they reflect how you treat yourself? How you speak to yourself? Do you keep your promises? Not just promises to others, but are you keeping the promises you make to yourself? You may be able to say you are a person of integrity when it comes to what you say and do for others, but are you in alignment and integrity with yourself? Answer this question honestly.
It’s easy to follow through on promises to others because there is someone else in the conversation. The person you made the promise to is going to keep you accountable to what you said or promised to do. When it comes to the promises we make to ourselves; unless you have someone you are accountable to, no one will ever know the difference if you back down on what you said you would do. Transforming your body will never happen if you keep abandoning your promise to yourself. So, what will it take for you to follow through on your word to yourself?
How do you stop making excuses for your continued unhealthy behavior with food?
A coach? An accountability partner? A group? All of these? Or are you one of those people who think that your business is just that – your business and none of anyone else’s business? So, how’s that working out for you?
Albert Einstein is credited with saying:
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing
over and over again and expecting different results.”

In the past, I bet you have been successful at sticking to your healthy lifestyle plan for a few weeks or even a few months until you fell off the wagon. Let’s be honest. This is a pattern for you.
